WTA Members in the last annual meeting the board was asked to reinstate the scholarship program. This has been

completed! We now have a policy that governs this process. 

Below is the part of the policy that has the requirements along with the application.

The WTA will grant two $500 scholarships annually.

1.1 Eligible applicants

1.1.1 College undergraduates – Multiple years may be awarded. Application must be submitted for each year

1.2 Applicant requirements

1.2.1 Applicants must be a child, grandchild, or niece/nephew of current WTA member.

1.2.2 Applicants must submit a short essay with their application.

1.2.2.1 Include why they are seeking the scholarship.

1.2.2.2 Include what the WTA means to them.

1.2.2.3 Include their field of study.

1.2.3 Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 to be granted a scholarship.

1.3 Applicant desirable qualities

1.3.1 GPA above 3.0

1.3.2 Field of study in wildlife conservation.

1.3.3 A proven track record of community service.

1.3.4 A track record of WTA service/volunteerism.
